Leicester.. or Leícestër?
Leicester City F.C. recently unveiled their 19/20 kits and a certain away kit has people talking. The Foxes will stay traditional with their blue home kit for the 2019/20 season, and the club will be complemented by two away options; a true pink away shirt and dark grey heather away shirt.
Fans on social media immediately began discussing the pink kit, some love the new look for Leicester, others found it to be grossly unoriginal. The color and overall look resembles the 15/16 Juventus kit made popular by rapper Drake, who wore it with matching shades.
Although Juventus nor Drake necessarily owns the color pink, it was ultimately the front angular design pulled from the 1990 Germany World Cup kit that drew criticism of the new Leicester City F.C. kit.
What do you think? Does Leicester's underdog Premier League trophy earn them the right to draw inspiration from a legendary World Cup squad? Or is it another copy/paste from a previously well thought out design?
Sports giant Adidas has the design available to the general public offered as the base Campeon '19 kit, we expect to see more of these to come.
